Baby Love, My baby love.

Quite honestly,
I feel like having a baby is the best thing I've ever done.
Im savoring every second of watching this little girl grow
and i don't plan on stopping anytime soon!

Its a pretty special thing having a new baby right in the
middle of the holidays. i definitely recommend it!
the Christmas spirit is like WOAH.
It is strooong!

Life is so busy at the moment and its a bit tough
to steal away and write music but lucky for me
i have the worlds most supportive, sweet
husband and family who understand my need
to continue that part of my life.
I would go crazy if i couldn't write.
no, i mean it....
Probably actually nutty. like, go to the farm kind of deal.

It's weird as humans how we have these
deep individual needs and desires.
Becoming a Mom has revealed a new one to me.
One i wasn't even sure i had.

I hoped deep down that i would.
But you're never really quite sure until
you have your own baby and then.. BOOM!
It happens. you fall in love.
You're met with this new found happiness.
And with it comes so much fulfillment.
Again, fulfillment that you didn't even know
you needed!

Pretty cool.

Merry Christmas!

Little Sickly. Mostly Happy.

Our little family has been a bit sick this weekend. Thankfully nothing to awful. Just the kind of sick that makes you want to laze around and watch a bunch of arrested development, eat croissants and soup and cuddle your 2 month old.
Wow! 2 months. Where has the time gone? I feel like Scarlett is like an oak tree. but instead of counting the rings to tell her age I am counting the rolls!  Okay, I know that was a weird analogy but it just made sense in my silly mama brain.

I can't wait for our first family Christmas together!
We will be traveling to the lovely land of Springfield, MO where all of Darren's family and a good amount of our closest friends, musical companions and all around good people reside.

Hoping to record some Sucre stuff during that time as well! Eee!

Jolly-o dearies! (Sort of like cheery-o but you know...cause Christmas..baahhhh)

New Life.

Well Hello there, has it been a while!

This poor blog has practically been in hibernation
since the release of Sucre's debut album. I apologize for the M.I.A status.
it wasn't my intention to abandon ship or unplug from you all.
It's simply that i didn't have time to keep up with blogging during my pregnancy.
Now, hang on a second. i know you're thinking "wait….aren't the only things pregnant women do are sit
around all day and eat bon bons?" (or in my case macaroons)

 Umm, sort of.

But it actually turns out the past nine months have probably been the busiest of my entire life.
What with growing a baby, 3 tours, writing and recording Eisley's 4'th LP (which Mr. Jeremy Larson
may or may not have a hand in mixing/strings) and overall growing in every way imaginable
and eagerly anticipating the arrival of my newborn Daughter, I'd say I've had a lot on my plate.
But its all been absolutely wonderful and very exciting.

Scarlett was born just 6 weeks ago and already my life has changed
in what feels like a thousand new ways.
i am not the same woman, she has forever changed my heart for the better.
i feel born again myself and overwhelmed with love for this tiny little person.
She is perfectly beautiful and Darren and i could not be more greatful to God for her.

I have already begun writing again. i suppose i have much to
be inspired about lately!

Though A Minor Bird still has so much life left in it, i am very
eager to get the gears moving.

So with that said, i hope you'll follow this new journey of mine as i venture
into motherhood and deeper into myself as an artist and song writer.
i hope that you enjoy my updates, thoughts and pictures (i promise not ALL of them
will be of my daughter)

Sincerely Yours, Stacy.

Memories.

I was digging through my photo library
and came across a few photos/videos i
captured during the record making process
for A minor bird.

They fill my mind with
such fond memories that will forever
be locked in my heart as some of the most
special days of my life.
I absolutely loved the atmosphere, the people,
the city.
Each day i felt so inspired to go work
with My husband and Jeremy at his
wonderful studio.

I greatly look forward to the next time
we are able to make music together again
but until then
I thought i'd share a few of these little snippets
with you guys.

Enjoy!

Scarlett.

It's hard to put into words just how incredible
life has been lately.
So many new changes!
Although "Changes" sounds like too generic
of a word to describe the emotion i feel lately
for all that is happening.

I can say with full honesty that i
LOVE being pregnant.
Thankfully i have had a really easy go
at it thus far and am still able to do most
everything i did before, at 5 months pregnant.

I am currently in the studio recording
with my other band Eisley. This will be our 4'th LP.
We are recording and producing it ourselves
and so far i feel great about what we are doing.

Sucre has some exciting things in
the works as well.
"A Minor Bird" has been out 3 months
and so many lovely things have already come about from
it's debut in April.

My life feels full of color
and love at the moment and i'm so happy to share it with you all.

For those of you who were curious,
Darren and i are expecting a Girl in late October
and her name will be Scarlett. :)

Love my Family. Love Frozen Yogurt.

Look! We bought a house!!
Here is a 3D image of little miss Scarlett
from my sonogram last week!
We can't wait to meet this little face
in person!!

Now it's time to pick out a middle name.....
any ideas??

Special Days.

These past few days have been very special.
I've loved getting to spend so much time
with my family.

Darren is in Australia and i'm missing
him dreadfully!
It's tough being away from him
during such a special time:)

It's a stormy day and i think
it's time to go see a movie.

Dark Shadows or The Avengers?

Let me know!

Special Announcement!

Hello Everyone!

Today Darren and I have some pretty HUGE and exciting news to share
with you all!

WE ARE EXPECTING!!!!!

Yes, it's true. I am 3 months pregnant
and sporting a tiny baby bump!
We are beyond excited and it has been torturous to
keep this a secret!!

We wanted to wait until after the Sucre tour to
spill the beans with the rest of the world.

I want to Thank Everyone who came out to
the shows. It was double-y special to tour and sing
these songs knowing all the while that i was pregnant.

Yes, the sun seems to be shining very brightly these days.
Me and Darren feel extremely blessed and excited to
start this new chapter in our lives and in our marriage.

I have never felt so inspired to write and record new music,
and Darren can't wait to buy a little mini drum set.

Our lives will forever be centered around love, family, and making music.

We are so very thrilled to share this happy news with you!

Much Love,

Darren, Stacy and future baby king!
