Memories.

I was digging through my photo library
and came across a few photos/videos i
captured during the record making process
for A minor bird.

They fill my mind with
such fond memories that will forever
be locked in my heart as some of the most
special days of my life.
I absolutely loved the atmosphere, the people,
the city.
Each day i felt so inspired to go work
with My husband and Jeremy at his
wonderful studio.

I greatly look forward to the next time
we are able to make music together again
but until then
I thought i'd share a few of these little snippets
with you guys.

Enjoy!

Scarlett.

It's hard to put into words just how incredible
life has been lately.
So many new changes!
Although "Changes" sounds like too generic
of a word to describe the emotion i feel lately
for all that is happening.

I can say with full honesty that i
LOVE being pregnant.
Thankfully i have had a really easy go
at it thus far and am still able to do most
everything i did before, at 5 months pregnant.

I am currently in the studio recording
with my other band Eisley. This will be our 4'th LP.
We are recording and producing it ourselves
and so far i feel great about what we are doing.

Sucre has some exciting things in
the works as well.
"A Minor Bird" has been out 3 months
and so many lovely things have already come about from
it's debut in April.

My life feels full of color
and love at the moment and i'm so happy to share it with you all.

For those of you who were curious,
Darren and i are expecting a Girl in late October
and her name will be Scarlett. :)

Love my Family. Love Frozen Yogurt.

Look! We bought a house!!
Here is a 3D image of little miss Scarlett
from my sonogram last week!
We can't wait to meet this little face
in person!!

Now it's time to pick out a middle name.....
any ideas??

When We Were Young Live Performance With "Invisible Children"

Hello Lovelies!
I'd like to share a little live video that we
shot with the wonderful people at "Invisible Children"
We had fun hiking up into an abandoned Zoo
to perform this song.
The scenery was beautiful and it was
a really fun experience.
Invisible Children is an organization that aims to stop the longest-running
war in Africa, to end the abduction of innocent children forced
into fighting and to rebuild schools and provide education and jobs
in northern Uganda.

We were so happy and thankful to be a part
of something that is for such a great genuine cause.

Sincerely, Stacy.

Good for The Heart.

This month i had the really good fortune of being with
My Husband for the first half of his tour.
It was so much fun and i felt like the luckiest
girl on the planet getting to watch him play every night.
It's amazing how much i still crush on him when he's playing
those drums!

Our flight home was SUPER early and neither of us slept
the night before. So this started our week home off
in a jetlag spiral, thus i am blogging at 5AM
And feeling alive and well snacking here and there
 Listening to Darren jamming M83
from the other room while he works on a little project.

Our life is very strange and always changing.
We've been traveling so much lately and
it's just the beginning! The next few months
are going to be filled with touring for both Eisley
and Sucré.

We're hoping to book some shows
to coincide with the release of the Sucré record
in april.

That is, if you guys think that's a good idea....

If not, well....
I'll probably just cry for the entire
month of april and then eventually go get a job
as a Nanny...

Because, we all know that's the next
coolest job after getting to be a musician.

Infact, my friend Karin is a nanny
and i'm preeetty jealous of her.
She gets to share in these kids
childhood and buy them cute
sparkly pink shoes. Laugh at
the funny things they say and then
turn em' over to their Parents at the end of the day!
Plus she gets paid!!!

MAN. All you Mom's out there
are getting jipped BIG time...

just kidding.

Anyway!
I hope some of you will be able to make it out to
some of these shows whether it's for Eisley or Sucré.
It would do our hearts good.

Speaking of doing good things for
my heart, maybe it's time for bed!

Xo.

Instagram's of this week.

I hope you all had a nice week and Valentines day.
Darren and i had one of the best weeks ever
Eating waffles and chocolate and walking
around boise and salt lake.
The tour is is coming to an end.
It's been SO, so amazing to be with my husband.
I'm anxious to get home and hang with my family
and hopefully get some writing done for Eisley's next record.

I feel so blessed to be doing
so much of what i love these days.
I'm really looking forward to the next
few months.

Hope you are all well
and enjoying the last
bits of winter.
Come on spring!!

Day Off In Ashland.

Hello friends,

It's a day off in Ashland, Oregon.
It's so peaceful here and there's so
many cute city folk walking around
the streets. They are very friendly
and make me feel like a local.
I love blending in!

Favorite things i've seen so far today:

The older woman at the cashier
rocking low burgundy ponytails, kind blue eyes
and a sweet disposition.

The old grey couple walking towards
Darren and I looking very dapper and
holding hands.

The GORGEOUS Rhodesian ridgeback that i got to say hello to on the street
thanks to a friendly owner!

I'm definitely enjoying myself here.
It's beautiful!

Thanks for reading!

Sincerely, Stacy.

Sucre's first show.

Just wanted to say a huge thank you to all of you who
came out to the show monday night.
We were of course nervous as it was our first show
but we had so much fun!!
We had ONE day to rehearse for the gig.
Our string players were such troopers!
It was such a delight to get to know them.

To me, i think talking with the fans was the best part of the night.
I was completely humbled that so many people came up to say hello
after the show.

All in all it was a magical night
and i look forward to seeing you all at the next show!

Much love, Stacy.

acoustic performances along with some interviews.

"When We Were Young" will be released very soon!

Vintage Shopping in Boulder, CO

The Other Day MuteMath had a day off in
the very cool city of Boulder.
Darren and i sought out to find the best coffee in the city
first thing (duh)
And took a friends recommendation to try out Ozo Coffee.
Oh. My. Goodness.
It was a SERIOUS coffee experience!!
It made us so jovial that we were ready to
explore the city and hopefully find some good shopping.

We happened apon an insanely amazing vintage store
called "GOLD MINE" and boy was it!!
I was about to have a heart attack with all the cute
vintage dresses this place had hiding in the racks!

The girl who worked there was SUPER sweet
and complimented my Red Velvet Dress
I told her all about my friend Elsie
it was so fun talking with her,
i love it when store owners are friendly.

I really wanted to find some new dresses
for my trip to L.A + Sucre's Show on Monday!

This is the first dress i tried on.
I loved it but the sleeves had holes in the armpits!
Can't be baring my under arms while i'm singing.
Love, love, loveddd the collar on this one.
But alas, it was a wee bit big:(

I sort of regret not getting this one, but it was a bit pricey + kind of big.
At last! We have a winner!!!
I'm a sucker for cute buttons and long sleeves. I had to have it.

Oh MY! this was a last minute find and a total surprise.
I love the mod vibe of it. The material is a little thick for my liking
but i just thought it was too cute to pass up.
So that sums up my shopping trip!
After this, Darren and i went for some Crepes. YUM!
twas such a special day.

Here is Darren... just looking cute and talking with
the Cannon Blue boys.
(They are wonderful)
 check them out!
I think some of them will be joining me onstage
for the cafe' hotel show this monday!
 Elevator shot! <3

Much love, Stacy.

I like Sundays, But not when Coffee Shops are Closed.

I need coffee!
And Nothing is open in Tulsa.
Darren and i walked to my favorite coffee place called
"Joe Bots" but to no avail.
I suppose i'll just have to try and make some on the bus.
Or just get over it, cause my life is pretty good.

I'm loving being ontour with my husband.
This weekend they played a bunch of TX show's
so i got to hangly-dash with my Family and
friends and it was grand!

I think Today I will start Rehearsing with Jeremy
For Sucrés first show at Hotel Cafe Coming up
Next monday Feb, 06'th
I'm looking forward to it so much!
I hope you all are too. I think it should be a pretty magical night.

Now for that bus coffee situation....

Spinner to stream "When We Were Young" Monday!

"When We Were Young" The first single
from My new Record will be streamed
exclusively through www.spinner.com
Monday, January 23!

Good Morning.
It's very foggy outside today
but i only saw the day light for about 10 minutes
on the drive over to where MuteMath is rehearsing.
It's a very large building with multiple rooms for
various musicians to come and prepare for their
upcoming activities. Most of what i hear escaping
through the walls and long hallways are country tunes.
(it is nashville after all)  So i just make a point to hang in the back of the
room drinking coffee, reading the hunger games book
i borrowed from my sis and watch my
husband drum all day and chat with their
extremely nice crew. I really can't complain!

Jeremy flew in yesterday and it was glorious to see him!
First time to see him since we finished the record last month.
He is going to be sitting in with the opening band called "Canon Blue"
On Mutemath's tour.
Very excited he'll be on the road!

Not only is it great that we'll all get to hang out and have a lot
of fun together but It will also be a good time to
make some plans for Sucré.
There are some very exciting things already lined up for this month.
I will keep you all up to date of course, as things finalized.

for now, it's back to reading and jamming to one of my favorite bands of all time!

All the best, Stacy.

Thieves suck.

Hi To All....

As some of you have heard, My house got broken into
last sunday night. Nothing too bad was stolen, only my laptop
which was already on it's last leg. I'm very Thankful
for this and the fact that i wasn't home and wasn't harmed (well, if you
don't count mentally and emotionally)
It was strange and very scary since my husband was
out of town and it was well past midnight when i came home alone
to notice my bedroom light was on when i KNEW i turned all the lights out
when i left.
When i walked into my bedroom all the drawers were opened
And everything was a mess.
I panicked, realizing someone had been in my house.
I FLEW out the door on the highest adrenaline
rush of my life and sped down the street trying to call 911
but unfortunately and perfectly creepy, my phone was dead!!!

I drove to my family's house and they helped
me to calm down.

The cops came and asked a bunch of questions
said the thief had busted through the back door.
And suggested i get an alarm system (Uh, how bout' i just
find a new place to live along with that??)

I pray this never happens to any of you!
It's the worst feeling.
A home needs to feel safe and peaceful and sadly, mine no longer does:(

Luckily, i was able to board a plane and leave the whole
situation behind!
I'm very happy to be with my husband now as they rehearse for their upcoming tour.

I'm getting a new laptop tomorrow and excited to say
i am getting closer to naming my album!

Nothing boring about 2012 so far!!

Thank you all for your kind response to the first little
teaser clip! There will be more to come:)

All the best,

Stacy.

Chair Claustrophobia.

Kinda a weird room eh?
It's strange how rooms have feelings.
I felt a little claustrophobia in this one, But sort of in a good way.
It was so tiny! It sat atop an Antique store
in Missouri and it had a very old smell to it.

I get so excited about small mysterious rooms
that are semi discarded!
